Book Cover Evaluation

Tell us a little about your book cover needs! This information will be used to formulate the quote for your project and to design your custom cover. Be sure to provide detailed information regarding any layout preferences you may have. This should include the placement of images, text, and logos, as well as font style, size, and color choices.

All images should be supplied at no less than 300DPI for best print resolution. If you do not have an image, you may describe your needs, and we will supply the image for you using stock photography/illustrations that have been licensed for your use. Please also feel free to contact us with any questions, or speak directly with a designer in order to discuss your cover details! There is no obligation. We look forward to working with you!

Book Information
We will need to know your printer/s, as this will help us to determine the proper print specifications.
Please be sure to list any deadlines for your project.
This is the final print size of your book. The most common print sizes are 6x9, 5.5x8.5, and 5x8.
If you are submitting for cover service and your book interior is already complete, this must be an exact page count, including blank pages. Accuracy is important here, since the spine dimensions are based on your final page count. If you are submitting for cover service and your interior is NOT yet complete, then you may simply supply your manuscript page count here.
We will use this to create your barcode.
We do not typically recommend including a price in the barcode.
Please choose only one option. If you plan to print more than one edition, please fill out a separate form for each edition.
The paper type will impact the dimensions of the spine, since creme paper is thicker than white paper. We recommend white paper for graphic intensive work and creme paper for most fiction, as it tends to be easier on the eyes. Please do not choose a black and white paper type if you are printing the interior in color.
Please do not choose a color paper type if you are printing the interior in B&W.
Gloss laminate can produce crisper lines and colors. It has a reflective finish. This is the standard for paperbacks. Matte laminate has a soft texture, so can be a good choice for understated designs. It is less reflective and gives art a more natural or muted feel.

If your image is full bleed, no background color may be necessary. We will request a hex value for the color, or we can also color pick from a supplied image.
Please let us know if you have a preferred font you'd like to use.
